With community service deeply rooted in our DNA, since inception, Vistara has always strived to support communities in the areas where it operates. And as the organisation grows, we want our communities to grow with us and ensure we grow sustainably. It is this philosophy of empowering communities and protecting the environment that is echoed in ‘Vistara Nurtures’.

Our CSR strategy is centered around, but is not limited to, our focus areas of:

Enabling education and wellbeing for children for their holistic development

 

Boosting entrepreneurship and employability through skill-led programmes for the youth and women in particular

Ensuring environmental sustainability by conserving natural resources and creating an ecological balance in the environment 

 

Whether it is inspiring young minds, empowering talent, or preserving the planet, as we scale up and grow, we want to keep nurturing the communities we operate in for a better tomorrow.

Sustainable operations

Vistara’s current fleet of Airbus A320neo, Airbus A321neo, and Boeing 787 aircraft are powered by advanced technologies and systems, resulting in reduction of engine noise, nitrogen oxide and carbon dioxide emissions.

And over the past few years, we have adopted various operational measures including but not limited to electronic flight bags, biodegradable and reusable cutlery, and smart lavatories which are all small strides towards a sustainable future.

Book Your Future

 

This programme, under the focus area of ‘Children & Education’, aims at enabling access to educational resources, books and learning interventions that ensure holistic development of children, with an emphasis on aviation. Over the last two years, we have helped make learning accessible to hundreds of children across the country in collaboration with our partners, Salaam Baalak Trust, Concern India, as well as local NGO partners. All for a better tomorrow!

Vistara Empowers

 

‘Vistara Empowers’ is our flagship programme under ‘Employability Skills’ that aims to facilitate skill development initiatives and enable financial empowerment for youth and young women. Over the last two years, we have been supporting the women entrepreneurs of Ashima Foundation with our ‘eco-friendly masks’ initiative. All for a better tomorrow!

Vistara Green Miles

 

A small step towards a healthier planet- our ‘Vistara Green Miles’ programme under ‘Environment and Sustainability’ aims at enhancing the country’s green cover, one sapling at a time. All for a better tomorrow!

Vistara Wellness Initiative

Our flagship programme for disaster relief, Vistara Wellness Initiative, aims to make nutrition and hygiene accessible to the disadvantaged. Since the programme’s inception in April 2020, we've supported 40,000+ individuals across the country by distributing over 350,000 food and sanitation items.

The Board of Directors of the Company has constituted the Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Safety Committee under the Chairmanship of Mr S Padmanabhan with Ms Sangeeta Pendurkar and Mr Lik Hsin Lee as its members. Vistara’s CSR Policy can be accessed here.
