Q. Can I get upgraded to CV Gold before 12 months from upgrade to CV Silver?
A. Once you are upgraded to CV Silver, you retain Silver membership for 12 months. However, during this period, your transactions for the past 365 days will be evaluated daily. As soon as you qualify the criteria for CV Gold membership, you will be upgraded to the same.
Q. Will the Tier Points considered for CV Silver upgrade be re-considered for CV Gold upgrade?
A. Yes, the Tier Points considered for CV Silver membership will be considered for upgrade to CV Gold, provided they are earned in the past 365 days from the day of evaluation.
Q. If my upgrade request was rejected, can I request for an upgrade only after 12 months?
A. Even after upgrade failure, your transactions for the past 365 days will be evaluated daily. As soon as you qualify the criteria for an upgrade to the respective tier, you will be upgraded.
Q. What are Tier Points and how are they different from CV Points?
A. On completion of a flight activity with Vistara you are credited with CV Points & Tier Points in your account. The value of these points will be calculated based on fare value as well as the CV Tier you are a part of. While CV Points can be used for redeeming an Award Flight or an Upgrade Award, Tier Points are used only for the purpose of tier evaluation. Additionally, all bonus points that are accrued as part of offers & promotions will add up to your CV Points and will not have any effect on your Tier Points.
Q. Can I earn Tier Points on flying with Vistara’s partner airlines?
A. No. Tier Points are earned only when the member is flying with Vistara.
Q. Is there any change for earning Tier Points with Vistara Freedom Fares?
A. CV members will not earn any Tier Points when booking Economy Lite fares. However, the flight flown will be included in the count for Tier evaluation.
For all other fare categories, Tier Points will be awarded as before.
Q. Can I get a confirmed seat less than 24 hours before departure on domestic flights?
A. CV Platinum members will be entitled to a confirmed seat in Economy Class provided the request is raised 24 hours prior to departure, in any sector flown by Vistara. CV Gold members need to send in their request 48 hours prior to departure. This is applicable only when the entitled CV member is unable to secure a seat in Premium Economy or Business Class. However, if there is a seat available in Premium Economy or Business Class within 48/24 hours of the flight, the CV member will be required to purchase the same.
Q. How can I claim complimentary vouchers as a CV Silver member?
A. CV Silver members are entitled to 1 One Class Upgrade. This is an e-voucher which shall be e-mailed to you on your registered email ID. This is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

Q. How can I claim complimentary vouchers as a CV Platinum/Gold member?
A. CV Platinum/Gold members are entitled to transferable One Class Upgrade vouchers. These are physical vouchers which shall be delivered to their registered address valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

Q. Will a Platinum/Gold CV member booking an Economy Lite fare have access to lounge facilities?
A. Yes, CV Platinum and Gold members can access the Premium Plaza lounge at Delhi’s T-3 and other partner lounges as per their entitlement, irrespective of the fare booked.
Q. Will CV members continue to get priority handling when flying on Economy Lite fares?
A. Yes, Priority handling privileges for CV Platinum, Gold, and Silver members will continue when flying on Economy Lite fares.
Q. I am a CV Platinum/Gold/Silver member and enjoy enhanced check-in baggage allowance. Will I continue to enjoy this privilege with Vistara Freedom Fares?
A. Yes, you will continue to enjoy your enhanced baggage allowance benefit, across all fare categories.
If you are booked on Economy Lite fare (in which the baggage allowance is 1 piece only), you will have the privilege of carrying 1 additional piece, free of charge, provided the total weight of all bags is within the permissible limit.
Q. What is the Hand Baggage allowance for CV Gold and Platinum members?
A. CV Platinum and Gold members enjoy complimentary Carry-On Plus benefits i.e. they can carry up to a total of 12kg of Hand Baggage across cabin classes, irrespective of the fare category.
Q. Can a CV Platinum member make changes to a ticket booked on Economy Lite fare?
A. An Economy Lite ticket cannot be changed and is non-refundable (however taxes are always fully refundable).
