1. The Raghunath Temple:
The Raghunath Temple is the most popular and prominent tourist attraction in Jammu. Being one of the biggest pilgrimage spots in northern India, the construction of this temple was started by Gulab Singh around 130 years ago and completed by his son Maharaja Ranbir Singh. The space between the walls in the shrine are encrypted with images of the Gods while the main shrine consists of moving paintings of Ramayana, Mahabharata, and the Bhagavad Gita.

2. Bahu Fort:
The Bahu Fort, located 5km from the center of the city, stands tall on the left bank of the Tawi river. One of the oldest monuments in the city, the fort was constructed by Raja Bahucholan over 3000 years ago. The Dogra rulers then made renovations to the fort to extend its reach. It is said that the construction of the city of Jammu itself and the fort are closely linked, making the fort a must visit.

3. Mansar Lake:
Mansar Lake along with its twin surinsar, overlooks the hills and is surrounded by thick green forests and fun filled parks. It spreads to over a mile in length and half a mile in width and is situated 62 kms from Jammu. The lush greenery surrounding the lake makes for an ideal picnic spot. Don’t miss the Surinsar - Mansar wildlife sanctuary while you’re at it.

4. Vaishno Devi:
Dedicated to Mata Vaishnodevi, this temple is visited by thousands of devotees each year. Located in Trikuta hills, reaching this holy cave requires a trek of about 13 kms uphill. Though the trek is fun with street merchants selling various delicacies along the way; it might get physically exhaustive. With religious chants and a strong sense of spirituality surrounding this temple, you are sure to have a fulfilling experience. Opt for an exhilarating helicopter ride from Jammu for a memorable time.
