British Airways

British Airways

British Airways is a key codeshare partner for Vistara in India. Under this agreement, the British Airways designator code ‘BA’ will be added to  Vistara-operated flights covering a host of Indian cities, including but not limited to virtual British Airways destinations, namely Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Goa, Kolkata, Kochi, and Pune.

The codeshare flights offer convenient connections to and from the daily flights that British Airways already operates to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru, directly from London Heathrow. Vistara flights operate from the same terminals as British Airways at Delhi (T3) and Mumbai (T2), making connections at these airports convenient and seamless.

British Airways customers travelling on Vistara will enjoy complimentary meals and will be able to choose between three different cabins, including India’s only Premium Economy. As part of the codeshare agreement, British Airways Executive Club members can also collect Avios and earn Tier Points when booking on ‘BA’ coded Vistara flights.

In addition to the codeshare, customers can also enjoy benefits of the expanded interline arrangement between Vistara and British Airways. It will now be possible for customers to travel between India & exciting destinations across Europe* & the UK including but not limited to Aberdeen, Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg & Milan, connecting via London Heathrow using the services of Vistara and British Airways in one single ticket.

*Travel between India to Europe via London Heathrow will be subject to applicable visa requirements and governmental restrictions.

Please note the travel restrictions applicable for Indian Passport holders under the travel bubble agreement between India and the United Kingdom:

  • If you are travelling from India and connecting to another flight via London, your end destination has to be in the United Kingdom only.
  • If you are travelling to India and connecting from another flight via London, there are no restrictions on your point of origin.
