1. Rock Garden:
Built in 1957 using industrial and urban waste, the magnificent Rock Garden was made single-handedly by Nek Chand, a former road inspector in Chandigarh. Located in Sector 1, this massive 40 acre garden is a myriad of colourful artistic pieces and sculptures made using recycled waste. With three different phases offering different embellishments, this garden is an ode to creativity and novelty.

2. Rose Garden:
Owning the saying ‘beauty at its best’, the Rose Garden is spread over a magnificent 30 acres with gorgeous flowers in vibrant colours. The largest garden of its kind in Asia, with over 825 varieties of flowers, this garden was built in 1967 under the guidance of the First Chief Commissioner, M.S. Randhawa. The other major attraction of the garden is more than 32,500 varieties of trees and medicinal plants. A beautiful sight with a peaceful atmosphere, Rose Garden is one of the most popular tourist attractions.

3. Sukhna Lake:
Nestled at the foothills of the Shivaliks, Sukhna Lake is surrounded by the mesmerizing city of Chandigarh. A one of a kind man-made lake stretching over 3kms, it was made by damming the seasonal stream, Sukhna Choe that comes down from Shivalik Hills. Enjoy various activities such as boating, trampoline jumping or simply breathe in the fresh air. The sunset at the lake is the perfect opportunity to take capture picturesque moments and is a photographer’s delight!
