Manager - Airport Services Training

Position: Manager – Airport Services Training

Division: Commercial

Location: Gurgaon

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess future and current training and development needs and drive suitable training initiatives that build stability in defined standards.
  • The goal is to enhance employees’ skills, performance, productivity and quality of work.
  • Overall responsible and accountable manager for Ground Services training systems for Vistara network.
  • Conduct and organize Orientation of batches for new hires.
  • Evaluate instructor performance and effectiveness of training programs including developing testing and evaluation procedures.
  • Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training need and analysis based on project production processes, changes and other factors.
  • Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, other educational materials.
  • Plan develop and provide training programs, using knowledge of effectiveness and balance between class room training, demonstrations, on job trainings, conferences and workshops.
  • Must be able to overcome the challenges – technical, strategic and professional and apply best possible mix to customize the training needs per the best in Industry standards.
  • Must work with Airport line managers to identify and assess the current and future training needs in the ground services eco system.
  • Must establish training and entry level requirements including refreshers for current team members and develop training programs to suffice the requirements for all levels.
  • Must track current industry training practices and innovate to improve efficiencies in product delivery.
  • Timely planning the trainings across network with effectiveness as evidenced by improve job and system knowledge.

Work Experience:

  • 8-10 years’ experience in all areas of Airport operations and handling including minimum 05 years as manager training /specialist role.
  • Professional qualification in training role specific to Airport handling procedures Multi-cultural training delivery environment including ground handling agent training delivery.

Desired industry Experience:

  • Adequate work experience within Aviation Industry / training department at managerial level.

Qualification:

  • Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Senior Manager – Inflight Product and Service Development

Position: Senior Manager- Inflight Product and Service Development

Division: Commercial

Department: Cabin Services

Location: Gurgaon

Minimum Education Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the product development process relating to the cabin product, across all customer touchpoints in the cabin – LOPA, seats, lavs, galleys, IFEs, storage, monuments, and manage all aspects related to the cabin for new aircraft / new LOPA entry-into-service (EIS).
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking, research of industry best practices and identification of customer trends to be explored for further innovation by the airline.
  • Perform aircraft development activities including configuration and design of cabin interiors and lavatories.
  • Development of aircraft/cabin/seat/inflight entertainment system products from concept to launch, including vendor selection, creation of product specifications, artwork creation, production sampling, collaboration with internal stakeholders for operations.
  • Working together with Cabin Crew and training depts, identification and definition of crew work processes and service procedures based on product selection, design, and definition.
  • Development and execution of contracts including SLA management.
  • Coordinate the review and selection of media content (including inflight library).

Skills & Attributes:

  • Must have project management skills such as planning with proven record of success in coordinating projects.
  • Should be able to do competitive Benchmarking and make effective product presentations
  • Should have strong PC skills including MS Office and PowerPoint
  • Should have excellent inter-personal and negotiation skills
  • Must have leadership qualities and multi-tasking skills

Eligibility:

  • Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university
  • Must have a relevant work experience of minimum 10 years in the Industry (preferably with some relevant experience in product development).
  • Stints in one or more of the following areas in an Airline is preferred: Inflight Services, Engineering (Fleet Management, technical services), Cabin Crew Service Operations, Product or Brand marketing.

  • Gather, prioritize, and document product requirements from cross-functional teams and stakeholders on multiple business levels.
  • Evaluates and resolves technical feasibility, design optimization, and product related issues.
  • Bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders to effectively and efficiently execute and deliver on a product roadmap
  • Build online products and services that create value for our customers collaborating with a cross functional product team, including business and channel owners, user experience designers, developers, legal, compliance, brand, marketing and content editors.
  • Relentlessly track the competition and marketplace to seek out inspiration for product innovation and opportunities to acquire and keep customers
  • Expected to provide valuable input into business cases based on in-depth data analysis and demonstrate how that analysis impacts key product metrics

Skills & Attributes:

  • Designing simple and intuitive user interfaces through wire frames and mock ups
  • Subject matter expertise in Mobile Applications including its user interface, back end, performance metrics and system performance
  • Communication – verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Exceptional data analysis skills
  • Previous experience in e-marketing is a plus, ideally within the travel and hospitality sector.

Eligibility:

  • Must have 4-5 years of experience in Mobile Application product management
