Flight Dispatcher (With DGCA Approved License Only)

Flight Dispatcher reports to Sr. Manager Flight Operations – Ops Technical Services and is responsible for maintaining Operational Control and Flight Watch on all Company Flights

More specifically the Flight Dispatcher will

  • Review and evaluate weather information, to determine and select the most economical route of flight.
  • Prepare an Optimized Operational flight plan, factoring Notams, Tafors and Metars, for all flights within the schedule.
  • Compute the amount of fuel required, using company and DGCA established guidelines
  • Assist the pilot in command in an emergency situation by providing any assistance necessary to ensure safe completion of the flight.
  • Liaison with A.T.C, Apron & other authorities for smooth functioning.
  • Compute the RTOW for each flight, thus ensuring maximum Payload.
  • Any other responsibility as assigned by the Manager
 
Experience:                               Min 0-3 yrs
Academic Qualification:         10+2 Maths and Physics, Graduate will be preferred (Science Graduate)
Professional Qualification:     DGCA approved Dispatcher License

Ground Instructor (A320 Approved) Technical/Performance

The Ground Instructor instructs flight crew members undergoing initial, recurrent and/or transition training in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual and the applicable CAR., More specifically the Ground Instructor will

  • Conduct crewmember initial, recurrent or transition training in accordance with the FOTM as directed by the Chief Pilot Training, Flight Procedures, Training and Standards
  • DAs directed, assist in the development of various flight crewmember training programs. Checks the currency of training manuals and other materials used in various light training courses
  • Complete appropriate flight crewmember ground training records and other flight training documentation in a timely manner and directs to the appropriate filing source
  • Communicate issues of concern, or of exceptional achievement, regarding crewmember trainees’ performance to the Chief Pilot Training in a timely manner

Sr. Executive - Fleet Technical Support

Designation: Sr. Executive - Fleet Technical Support

Location: Delhi

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Fleet Technical Support team by developing software codes (in-house as well as through liaising with external vendors) to augment Flight Operations functions.
  • Hardware and software integration, testing of systems for FTS.
  • Support FTS team in EFB project for IPad MDM management implementation and routine functioning.
  • Assist FTS in data entry in worksheets, preparation of manuals.
  • To help maintain Content / Document Management System for all technical manuals handled by the FTS.
  • Develop algorithms for analysis of flight operations data for aircraft performance monitoring, reporting trends and generation of fuel management advisories.
  • Advise FTS team on ACARS data link services, Navigation database, DFDR related matters.
  • Any other duties assigned by M-FTS / GM- Technical / VP-LOT.

Eligibility:

  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) in IT/Computer Sciences/MCA is preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT domain.
  • Background in Aeronautical engineering / Exposure to Flight Operations is desirable but not mandatory.

Skills/Attributes:

  • Ability to connect IT knowledge with Flight Operations processes.
  • Algorithms and programming (Any language like C,C++,VB, Python etc)
  • High proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office products, ios, Adobe pdf/xml editor.

Sr. Exe - Over Flight

Designation: Sr. Exe - Over Flight

Location: Gurgaon

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Conversant with AIP Entry, Departure, Overflying requirements for a specific country.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of contents, timely update and availability of relevant AIPs, AIP supplements, Airway Manuals, relevant ICAO Docs and Annexures.
  • Adhere to Entry and Exit points for countries being overflown, whilst building routes.
  • Support the Management in pre-operational preparations between a City Pair for a given type of aircraft in terms of Navigation Costs and others.
  • Use the relevant formula for a specific country to calculate out the Route Navigational and Facilitation charges. .
  • Whilst processing payments for the charges incurred in route navigational charges, verify and check the charges levied are for the route flown on day of the flight.
  • Should ensure that Finance Dept. is furnished with the checked and verified invoices for the specific country well in advance.
  • Liaise with Sr. Exe-Route building and Flight Dispatch for clarification on route used on day of Operation.
  • Any other duties assigned by DGM- Flight Operations or VP-Operations.

Key Result Areas:

  • Provide Technical support to Flight Dispatch.
  • Inform Management in advance of countries under US sanctions, so that payments may be processed by alternate means.

Experience:

  • Min. 3 years of experience in securing Over Flight Clearances.

Designation: Sr. Exe- Route Planning

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Conversant with certified Ops Specs from the regulator for Vistara.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of contents, timely update and availability of relevant AIPs, AIP supplements, Airway Manuals, relevant ICAO Docs and Annexures.
  • Adhere to Entry and Exit points for countries being overflown, whilst building routes.
  • Support the Management in pre-operational preparations between a City Pair for a given type of aircraft.
  • Review latest NOTAMs for Departure, en-route, destination and alternate aerodromes.
  • Where possible, build multiple routes between a City Pair, and liaise with Sr. Exe-Over Flight to ensure that the overflying permits have been secured well before utilization of these routes between the city pair.
  • Inputs to Flight Dispatch on possible availability of CDR routings between a City Pair.
  • Liaise and work together with Performance Engineering on routes between City Pairs on routes, which may entail escape routes used in the event of a decompression or engine failure in an area of high terrain.
  • Any other duties assigned by DGM- Flight Operations or VP-Operations.

Experience:

  • Min. 3 years of experience in building routes.

Qualification:

Assistant Manager- Training & Licensing 

Position: Assistant Manager- Training & Licensing 

Division: Flight Operations

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Endorsements, Renewal of License, ELP, Medicals, & ALC’s (ATPL, FRTOL, & RTR as well as FATA) - track the license validities, initiate the process for license renewal and ensure requisite follow-up by the Executive - Training .
  • Liasoning with DGCA for the approval ,renewals, of DE, TRI and training requirements as well as for Trainers (DE/TRI/LTC’s ) check and validities upkeep .
  •  Preparation / Revision of OMD including all related activities required at DGCA as well as adhering to the distribution list in a periodic manner and proper updatation and upkeep of same .
  • Prepare and submit the quarterly DE utilization report to DGCA in a periodic manner .
  • Prepare and submit details of the expatriate pilots as required by the related CAR in a periodic manner .
  • Ensure training files are submitted to newly inducted crew before they commence their training .
  • Updating Merlot with training & licensing validities in a periodic manner
  • Monitor issuance of DVC post completion of a training, checking to the respective crew in a periodic manner.
  • Ensure all crew training files are updated in a periodic manner .
  • Track the crew ( both P1 & P2 ) requiring inclusion in the STOL list and submission of the revised list to DGCA on a fortnightly basis in a periodic manner.
  • Track crew eligibility ( both P1 & P2 ) for specialized training (LVTO,CAT II/III, Critical Airfields etc.) in order to plan them for these qualification.
  • Maintain a database on weekly, monthly basis with status update on crew training and licensing and share with FCT.
  • Any other duty assigned by Sr. Manager .

Eligibility:

  • 5-6 years of experience in aviation industry with minimum 3 years of exposure to training and licensing.
