1. Lake Pichola:

An artificial lake in the middle of the city, Lake Pichola is one of the oldest and largest lakes in Udaipur. A trip to Lake Pichola is incomplete without a boat ride especially during dawn. It offers a magnificent view with the water glistening golden owing to the setting sun. A truly peaceful and tranquil experience!

2. City Palace:

The gorgeous City Palace is built on the banks of Lake Pichola and is considered the largest royal complex in Rajasthan. The palace was built in 1559 by Maharana Uday Singh and was considered the main seat of power. The courtyards, corridors, pavilions, terraces and gardens – all make for a stunning view!

3. Monsoon Palace:

Located at a hilltop, the Monsoon Palace, also known as the Sajjan Garh Palace offers a paranoiac view of the Fateh Sagar Lake and the surrounding countryside. It was built in 1884 by Maharana Sajjan Singh of the Mewar Dynasty. A great place to watch sunsets!

4. Vintage Car Museum:

The vintage car museum is a great place for automobile and car lovers! The museum hosts a collection of vintage automobiles used by the Mewar dynasty of Udaipur. The Mewar dynasty witnessed one of the most lavish Rajput rulers, leading luxurious lifestyles. One can spot the 1934 Rolls Royce Phantom which was used in the famous James Bond movie Octopussy at the museum!

Kumbhalgarh Festival:

This colourful festival is hosted at the magnificent Kumbhalgarh Fort. This three-day festival promotes the culture and heritage of Rajasthan with traditional artists and interesting competitions to keep everyone entertained. The night is lit up with colors, sounds and dances, do not miss out on this unforgettable experience!

Sightseeing:

Udaipur is known for beautiful structures, forts and palaces. When in the city, visit the Lake Palace, a popular wedding destination. One can also add Bagore Ki Haveli to their itinerary, a royal building built in the 18th century. Saheliyon Ki Bari which was built as a gift to the queen and her maidens is also a must-visit.
