I have booked my tickets before 2nd August 2018 for travel after the introduction of Vistara Freedom Fares. What are the implications?

a. For bookings made before 2nd August 2018, all conditions related to seat selection, meals, and baggage allowance will continue to remain the same as per your original booking, irrespective of your date of travel.
b. However, for any changes that you may make to your tickets after the introduction of Vistara Freedom Fares, the new rules of the f are category you select will be applicable to your booking.
What can I do through Manage Booking?
A: Manage Booking is our online section that assures you have everything you might need for your flight.
There are two ways to find your booking:
- Enter your PNR number and last name; or
- Login with your Club Vistara credentials
Once you locate your booking, you can:
- View your booking details
- Update your seat and meal preferences
- Print your ticket
- View real-time departure and arrival timings
- Cancel and refund your itinerary (subject to applicable fare rules and not applicable for travel agent bookings and bookings where mode of payment is cash) – only on website.
- Reschedule booking (subject to applicable fare rules and not applicable for travel agent bookings) – only on website.
- Add GST details
- A customer can also include other services to their journey with Manage Booking from this suite of products:

Vistara Priority: Enjoy Priority Check-in, Boarding and Baggage Handling to beat the queues and make your journey more seamless and hassle free. Priority handling remains complimentary for all Business Class, Premium Economy, Economy Flexi and Club Vistara Platinum and Gold members, as well as for Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer PPS and Gold members. Priority handling is not applicable for passengers booking under Economy Lite.
Carry-on-Plus: You carry up to 12kg hand baggage on board with you (if you prefer not to check it in) for a nominal fee. ‘Carry-On Plus’ is complimentary for all our Business Class and Club Vistara Platinum and Gold customers. Carry-On Plus is not applicable for passengers booking under Economy Lite.
Class Upgrades: Purchase either confirmed or standby upgrades to Business Class or Premium Economy in advance. While confirmed upgrades will assure a seat in the higher class cabin, standby upgrades offered at lower rates are on the basis of space availability. Click here to know more.

How do I cancel my ticket?
If your booking is done through our website or mobile app, you may cancel it by logging on to our website www.airvistara.com, under the Manage Booking tab.
Cancellation of a booking is permitted up to two hours prior to the scheduled departure of the flight.
Am I eligible for a refund?
Yes, refund of fares are in accordance with the associated fare rules. All unutilized taxes are always fully refundable.
Is there any cancellation fees?
Yes, we will charge cancellation fees based on the fare booked, please find the charges below:
Economy Lite : Only taxes refundable
Economy Standard : INR 3,000
Economy Flexi : Free up to 72 hours of departure, INR 3,000 thereafter
Premium Economy Value : INR 3,500
Premium Economy Standard : INR 3,000
Premium Economy Flexi : Free up to 48 hours of departure, INR 3,000 thereafter
Business Value : INR 3,500
Business Standard : INR 3,000
Business Flexi : Free up to 24 hours of departure, INR 3,000 thereafter
All unutilized taxes shall be refunded. Goods & Service tax (GST) K3 shall be refunded as recalculated on the refundable balance.
Will I be charged a fee for changing my flight?
Yes, we will charge fees based on the fare booked.
Economy Lite : No changes permitted
Economy Standard : INR 2,500 per change
Economy Flexi : One free up to 72 hours of departure, INR 2,500 thereafter
Premium Economy Value : INR 3,000 per change
Premium Economy Standard : INR 2,500 per change
Premium Economy Flexi : Two free up to 48 hours of departure, INR 2,500 thereafter
Business Value : INR 3,000 per change
Business Standard : INR 2,500 per change
Business Flexi : Two free changes up to 24 hours of departure, INR 2,500 thereafter
How do I access Manage Booking?
The Manage Booking section is available on the home page of the Vistara website and on the Vistara Mobile App. To access Manage Booking, you will need to enter your six-letter alpha-numeric Vistara Booking Reference No. (PNR) and last name (as in the PNR). Club Vistara members can also view their upcoming trips here by clicking on Find my trip.
Are Vistara Direct benefits applicable to all fare categories under Vistara Freedom Fares?
Vistara Direct benefits will be applicable for all fare categories except Economy Lite.
Will I continue to enjoy Armed Forces discount/Student Discount/Friends and Family Discount and Senior Citizen Discount, and the respective baggage allowance under Vistara Freedom Fares?
Indian Armed Forces Discount/Student Discount/Friends and Family Discount and Senior Citizen Discounts are valid only for Economy Class on Economy Standard or Flexi fares, and are not available for Economy Lite fares. For more details, please refer to Terms & Conditions.
Are there any changes to the complimentary meals service onboard?
Since Economy Lite fares are designed for customers who simply want the lowest fare, complimentary meals have been excluded from this fare category, though complimentary beverage (tea/coffee) will still be offered. Customers on Economy Lite fares can however, buy light snacks and additional beverages on board from Café Aubergine, Vistara’s all-new Buy-on-Board service that commences on 29th August, 2018.
Customers on all other fare types other than Economy Lite and Club Vistara members flying on redemption tickets will continue to enjoy Vistara’s highly acclaimed complimentary inflight meal service, and are also free to purchase additional items from Café Aubergine.
What modes of payment are accepted for Buy-on-Board purchases?
All payments on board must be made by debit or credit cards only; cash, cheques, and other payment methods such as mobile or e-wallets will not be accepted on board. Most major Indian-issued debit cards, and Indian or foreign credit cards will be accepted.
As an Economy Lite passenger, can I pre-book and pre-pay for my meal at the time of booking?
Pre-booking of meal is currently not possible when booking an Economy Lite fare.
Can I select my seat in advance when on an Economy Lite fare, and is there a fee for it?
For customers booking Economy Lite fares, limited seats will be available for selection while booking. There is no charge for advance seat selection of these seats. However, at the time of check-in, additional seats may become accessible, subject to availability.
If I have purchased an Economy Standard ticket and wish to upgrade to Premium Economy at the airport, which Vistara Freedom Fare will I be upgraded to?
You may upgrade your cabin at the airport by paying a fee, using a voucher, or by redeeming your CV points. At the airport, there are two ways you can upgrade – one being a seat only upgrade and the other being an all benefits upgrade.
If you opt for a seat only upgrade, you will be seated in the next cabin, however, all other benefits will continue to be as per the fare category purchased by you originally. For example, if you have purchased an Economy Standard fare and opt for a seat only upgrade to Premium Economy, you will be seated in the Premium Economy cabin however, all other fare rules of Economy Standard will apply.
If you have opted for an all benefits upgrade, you will be upgraded to the fare category lower to the corresponding fare of the next cabin class. For example, if you have purchased an Economy Standard ticket, you will be upgraded to Premium Economy Value. And, if you booked an Economy Flexi fare, you will be upgraded to Premium Economy Standard. The inclusions and benefits of the upgraded fare will be applicable to your journey thereafter.
Please note that Economy Lite fare cannot be upgraded by any method, whereas Premium Economy Value fare can be upgraded through a fees, vouchers or CV Points.
If I have booked one fare for one leg and a separate fare for the second leg of the journey, which fare rule will apply?
If the customer is traveling on a single ticket: For a journey that has two legs, booked on two different fares from Vistara Freedom Fares but on a single ticket, the rules of the most restrictive fare category will apply only for change and cancellation, however, the other benefits will be applicable as per the fare selected. For illustrative purposes, the customer has booked a Delhi to Hyderabad, via Mumbai. The customer books an Economy Standard fare for the Delhi to Mumbai leg, while he books an Economy Flexi fare for the Mumbai to Hyderabad leg; the fare rules of the Economy Standard fare will apply for any change and cancellation throughout the journey, however the baggage allowance will be 15kg (Economy Standard) for the Delhi to Mumbai leg and 20kg (Economy Flexi) for the Mumbai to Hyderabad leg.
Please note that Economy Lite fare cannot be clubbed with any other fare.
If the customer is traveling on two separate tickets: For a journey that has two legs, booked on two different fares from Vistara Freedom Fares and on two separate tickets, the fare rule of the respective booked fare will apply. For illustrative purposes, the customer has booked a Delhi to Hyderabad, via Mumbai. The customer books an Economy Standard fare for the Delhi to Mumbai leg, while he booked an Economy Flexi fare for the Mumbai to Hyderabad leg; the fare rules of Economy Standard will apply for the Delhi-Mumbai leg while fare rules of Economy Flexi will apply for Mumbai-Hyderabad leg.
If I book a ticket on an online travel portal, will I know which fare category I will get?
Yes, we have aligned with our Online Travel Portal partners and agents to ensure customers are displayed the fare category they select and the benefits they will enjoy with it, such as ‘meals included’. They will also get a notification when booking an Economy Lite fare.

Can I change my origin and destination through the Manage Booking facility?
All our tickets cannot be re-routed, hence sector changes are not permitted.
If I am unable to travel and would like to transfer the ticket to another person, can I amend the name online?
No, a complete name change/ticket exchange is not permitted. Kindly cancel your ticket and book a new ticket with the new customer(s) name. Cancellation charges, if any, will be applicable accordingly.
How can I reprint my e-ticket itinerary?
Login into the Manage Booking section. You can now view and reprint your e-ticket itinerary by the clicking on “Print Ticket”.
