Vistara offers three distinct cabin classes to provide a personalised seamless service, which is thoughtfully delivered. The aircraft cabin has been thoughtfully designed to provide a conducive and pleasant environment for both business and leisure travellers. Regardless of which cabin class you choose to travel, we strive to ensure that you experience an enjoyable flight and arrive at your destination feeling relaxed.

Classy and Contemporary - Business Class

The interplay between the Royal Purple and Calm Grey hues found in our Business Class cabin evoke a sense of tranquillity, all so you feel completely relaxed and reach your destination rejuvenated.

Our ultra-comfortable seats come with a number of features to make your journey more enjoyable, including:

  • Extendable leg rest, foot rest and height adjustable headrest with wings​

Inflight Dining

At Vistara, we aim to provide an interesting and healthy culinary experience that offers a wide range of cuisines, which not only showcase the diversity of regional dishes, but also incorporates global culinary trends. 

Business Class passengers will enjoy a special dining experience in the sky as our cabin crew meticulously carry out the meal service with fine linens and bone china tableware.  Our Premium Economy and Economy passengers will be treated to wholesome and interesting food and beverage selections which delight and excite their palates. The menus have been carefully selected and will be rotated regularly to ensure variety for our frequent flyers.

We serve hot or cold meals depending on the departure time and duration of your flight. For flights of up to 50 minutes, cold refreshments are offered.

For special meal requirements, orders can be placed, through our Customer Service Centre or your travel agent up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.  If you are purchasing your ticket on our website, special meal request can be made at the time of booking your flight.

Special Meals

Request for a preferred special meal, based on your dietary requirements. Depending on your meal choice, an option of a vegetarian or non-vegetarian preparation is also available for selection.

Vegetarian, non-vegetarian and fruit platter requests can be made any time up to 6 hours before your flight departs.

Please note that we do not feature beef, pork or their extracts in our meals. Our inflight meals are strictly halal.

Should you suffer from any severe allergy, it is important that you are aware that Vistara is unable to provide an allergen-free meal, cabin or environment on our flights. We recommend that you carry appropriate medication in your hand luggage, in the event of a reaction.

Specific to nuts and its by-products, our inflight meals may contain these as an important ingredient or in trace amounts. Customers may also choose to bring their own food containing nuts or its derivatives on board for their personal consumption. As such, we advise customers with nut allergies to take all necessary medical precautions to prepare for the possibility of exposure on our flight.

Meals for Infants and Children

Baby Meal - BBML
A non-spicy, pureed meal for infants and children below the age of two years. It is recommended that customers carry food familiar to and preferred by their babies. Vistara provides vegetarian preparations for baby meals.


Child Meal - CHML
This meal may be ordered for children between the ages of two and twelve years. Vistara provides vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian preparations for child meals. Non-vegetarian preparations will have to be requested for, through our Customer Service Centre*.


Vegetarian Meals

Asian Vegetarian Meal - AVML
This non-strict meal can contain vegetables, fruit and milk products. Customers requesting this meal may be offered the vegetarian option in varying cuisine styles from our inflight menu.


Fruit Platter - FPML
This meal may be ordered for dietary or religious reasons. It may also be ordered by members of certain communities who eat only fruit while fasting.


Vegetarian Jain Meal - VJML
A meal suitable for consumption by members of the Jain community who are strict vegetarians. It prohibits the use of animal products or by-products, mushrooms, eggplant, onions, ginger and root vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, beets, and radishes.


Vegetarian Lacto-ovo Meal - VLML
This is a non-strict vegetarian meal that can contain eggs and dairy products.


Vegetarian Oriental Meal - VOML
A vegetarian meal that is usually prepared Chinese-style.


Non-Vegetarian Meals

Non-Vegetarian Meal - NVML/HNML
A meal available for selection by non-vegetarian customers. Ingredients such as lamb, chicken, seafood, eggs and dairy products are used in its preparation. On Vistara flights, beef, pork and their by-products are not served. Customers requesting this meal may be offered the non-vegetarian option in varying cuisine styles from our inflight menu.

Bland Meal - BLML
A meal available for those who suffer from stomach ulcers and/or the digestive tract.


Diabetic Meal - DBML
A low-sugar meal that is suitable for customers who are diabetic. This meal prohibits the use of any kind of sugar.


Gluten Free Meal - GFML
Customers allergic or intolerant to gluten (a protein of wheat, barley, oats, or rye) can request for this meal.


Low Calorie Meal - LCML
Customers who have been advised to reduce their calorie intake may request for this meal. It comprises of foods that are reasonably high in fibre and avoids food items that are fatty and sweetened.


Low Cholesterol / Low Fat Meal - LFML
This meal is available for customers who need a meal that is low in saturated fats.


Low Salt / Low Sodium Meal - LSML
A meal suited for customers who suffer from high blood pressure, it does not contain ingredients with high salt or sodium content.


No Lactose Meal - NLML
Customers who are allergic or intolerant to milk and milk products, or those suffering from low lactose levels can request for this meal.

Check-in options

Check-In Experience

We endeavour to make your journey hassle-free, starting with numerous options for check-in. However, regardless of how you check-in, please note that:

  • check-in will close 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.
  • customers are to be present at the boarding gate at least 25 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Web Check-In

Available from 48 hours prior to scheduled departure time, our online check-in can be done in the comfort of your home or office. It also offers the additional benefit of selecting your preferred seat and meal option. Customers travelling with luggage would have to be present at our check-in counter at least 90 minutes before scheduled departure time for acceptance of the luggage.

Terms and Conditions

  • Customers may check-in on our website www.airvistara.com or using our mobile app and they will receive e-Boarding Pass (Web and Mobile Boarding Pass) on their preferred email address.
  • Please note that web check-in will close 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Customers are also expected to be present at the boarding gate at least 25 minutes prior to the departure time.
  • Please read the notes printed on your boarding pass carefully.
  • Vistara reserves the right to change the seats for the customers (checked-in using Web Check-in) to occupy Emergency exit seats in order to comply with safety regulations or a change in aircraft configuration.
  • It is mandatory to produce a Web Check-in boarding pass for security clearance as well as for boarding. A valid Photo identification (Official Government issued photo identification, Driving license, Election photo identification, Passport), Photo credit card may be requested any time at the airport.

Web Check-in is not available for:-

  • Customers with special service requests such as wheel chairs, extra seats, visual and hearing impairment, unaccompanied minors, stretcher etc.
  • Staff travel, Industry Discount tickets, upgrade vouchers and agent discount tickets.
  • International credit card bookings where card verification is required before boarding the flight. The intimation for the same is sent to the card holder’s email mentioned in the booking reference.
  • Groups of more than nine people on the same booking

Important Points

  • Customers can make changes to the seat preference.
  • Customers cannot offload themselves through Web or Mobile check-in.
  • Customers having any check-in baggage, the bags will have to be presented along with a valid photo ID to our airport check-in counter before the counter closure time which is at least 45 minutes prior to departure of the flight.
  • If the customer is not able to reach the gate before the boarding gate closure (25 minutes prior), the customer will be offloaded from the flight and the ticket would be considered as No Show. The No Show policy as per the fare rules will applicable on the same.
  • If a customer is not carrying the printed copy of the boarding card, the same can be collected from the check-in counter by providing a valid photo ID, before 45minutes to departure of the flight.

Mobile Check-In

With the Vistara mobile app, you can check-in for your flight anytime, anywhere. Features include preferred seat selection, choosing your meal preference and boarding pass on the app. You can also choose to receive your boarding pass via SMS or email. The Vistara App is compatible with IOS, Android and Windows phones.

At the Airport

If you have not been check-in or choose to do so at the airport, we can assist you at our designated airport check-in counters. Besides providing separate counters for Business, Premium Economy and Economy classes, we also offer separate counters for those already checked-in but have luggage to process.

Return Check-In

For those returning with Vistara within 48 hours of your originating departure, we will provide the boarding pass for your return flight as well. This will save you from the hassle of having to check-in again for your return flight.

Auto Check-In

We also offer an auto check-in service, which is currently available for bookings on our website, by our Customer Service Centre or by agents using the Amadeus reservations system. If your booking is compatible with this feature and you have not self check-in at 4 hours prior to scheduled departure time, we will auto check you on the flight and send your boarding pass via SMS or email. Customers travelling with luggage would have to be present at our check-in counter at least 90 minutes before scheduled departure time for acceptance of the luggage. This auto check-in feature will not be available for bookings without either a mobile contact number or email ID.
