1. Swaminarayan Temple

This temple, built in 1822 is a shrine dedicated to Narayan Dev. Located in the Kalupur area of the city, this magnificent structure is embellished with a prism of colour complete with detailed carvings. The Swaminarayan Temple is well known for its morning prayer service that will leave you feeling closer to God.

2. Sabarmati Ashram

The Sabarmati Ashram is the most popular tourist attraction when in Ahmedabad. The once residence of Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Kasturba, the ashram lies along the tranquil Sabarmati River. Famously known as the Satyagraha Ashram, Mahatma Gandhi began his Dandi March from here, making this a place of great historic importance. You will be able to see some of his personal belongings and letters written by Gandhiji himself.

3. Adalaj Step Well

Constructed in 1499, these step wells provide water and respite during the hot summer months to many areas around it. The wells are constructed with exquisite motifs and patterns and are supported by magnificent pillars to provide support.
